Hewson’s first day keynote address will focus on Abu Dhabi’s growing status as a global aerospace and aviation industry powerhouse.

“Lockheed Martin has exceptionally strong links with government entities in the UAE so its President will be able to share critical insights into cross-border corporation success strategies,” said Nick Webb, SMG’s Managing Partner.

“Successful partnerships will also be a focus stream at the Summit and with Lockheed Martin operating more than 300 partnerships in 70 countries, its experience is driving co-operation for the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services will hugely benefit the programme.”

Lockheed Martin is also ramping up production of its F-35 fighter jet, which pulled in nearly a fifth of the company’s revenue last year and is expected to fuel additional sales.

Leaders from companies in both established and emerging markets will share their experiences of supporting industrialisation, improving supply chain standards and creating value-added jobs for highly skilled individuals under an overarching theme of innovation. The Global Aerospace Summit is part of the Abu Dhabi Aviation and Aerospace Week held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
