H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansoori hosts Korean airport delegation

aerobd.news : Abu Dhabi Airports’ Chairman, H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansoori hosted a Korean delegation to discuss possible future collaborations on technology solutions for Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).

Headed by Kang WoongShik, Chairman of Global Technology, and adviser to Incheon International Airport (ICN), the Korean visitors and H.E. Al Mansoori explored opportunities to collaborate on airport facilities management between Abu Dhabi Airports (ADAC) and Incheon Airport Authority. They also discussed holding exchange visits between the two airport groups so that both management teams could learn from each other’s best practices.

The Korean delegation gave a presentation to H.E. on the history and growth of ICN and the future development strategy of Incheon Airport Authority.

Commenting on the meeting H.E. Ali Majed Al Mansoori said, “South Korea’s Incheon Airport is consistently voted as one of the best airports in the world by several industry bodies. We welcome the possibility of collaboration with one of the world’s leading airport authorities and look forward to further discussions on working together in the future.”

Seoul’s Incheon Airport is one of the busiest in the world, with annual passenger traffic reaching just over 49 million in 2015. Passenger figures at AUH for 2015 were 23.4 million, an increase of 17.2 % on the previous year.
