First ACJ320neo prepares for maiden flight

aerobd.news : Airbus has completed assembly of the first ACJ320neo and plans to conduct its first flight “in the coming weeks”. The aircraft has been fitted with CFM International LEAP-1A engines and painted in ACJ’s colors. It is scheduled for delivery to luxury charter specialist Acropolis Aviation in the last quarter of 2018. The aircraft will subsequently be outfitted by AMAC in Basel, Switzerland, with a cabin designed by Alberto Pinto. It will also be repainted.

Like the airliner versions from which it is derived, the ACJ320neo family features new-generation engines and Sharklets, saving around 15% in fuel and delivering greater range. The ACJ320neo can fly 25 passengers 6,000 nautical miles (11,100km) or 13 hours, while the ACJ319neo can fly eight passengers 6,700 nautical miles (12,500km) or 15 hours.

Orders for the ACJ320neo family stand at nine aircraft, comprising three ACJ319neo and six ACJ320neo aircraft. Acropolis Aviation is based at Farnborough Airport in the UK and has a complementary sales office in Fort Lauderdale, USA. Its current ACJ319 entered charter service in March 2010.
