e-News® | The NEWS Company…Dhaka, December 26, 2014 : Ferry services on Shimulia- Kawrakandi route resumed at 10:30 this morning after 6.30 hours of disruption due to heavy fog over the River Padma.

Due to the disruption, more than 150 vehicles got stuck at Shimuliaghat. Control room service of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) sources said ferries on the Shimilia-Kawrakandi route were forced to anchor at the middle of the Padma river due to poor visibility from 4am.
