Cathay Pacific Fleet Changes, 2005-15
AeroBD | The AERO news Company…FEB 15, 2016, London : Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong’s largest airline, has almost doubled its fleet size in the last 10 years. The carrier’s main hub is located at Hong Kong International Airport. Maintaining the same type of aircraft, Cathay Pacific expanded its fleet to 146 aircraft in 2015, from 81 aircraft in 2005. The four types currently flown by the airline are the Boeing 777, the Boeing 747, the Airbus A330 and the Airbus A340. As seen below, the largest growth was with the Boeing 777—increasing to 70 aircraft in 2015, from 16 aircraft in 2005, according to Aviation Week Intelligence Network (AWIN) data.
