US-Bangla receives 1st Boeing aircraft to connect more int’l destinations
aerobd.news – The first Boeing 737-800 aircraft joined the fleet of US-Bangla Airlines today creating a new milestone in the aviation industry of Bangladesh.
Cockpit crew and officials of US-Bangla Airlines this evening received the new aircraft at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. US-Bangla would connect more international destinations in the upcoming days with the 158-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft, said a press release.
It started inaugural flight on 17 July, 2014 by operating in Dhaka-Jessore route. After joining the new Boeing 737-800 aircraft, number of flights would be four. Boeing 737-800 aircraft has 158 revenue seats each including 8 business class and Dash8 Q400 aircraft 76 seats each.
The airlines have so far successfully operated over 16,000 flights on the domestic and Dhaka-Kathmandu routes. US-Bangla started its operation with the motto “fly fast-fly safe”. To expand its operation further into the international arena, the management will procure two more new Boeing 737-500 aircraft out of which one will be arriving Bangladesh in the third week of October and the other in December 2016. Each aircraft will posses four lavatory to facilitate the passengers’ comfort.
The management of US-Bangla Airlines has decided to operate regular scheduled flight to Kolkata, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, Muscat, Doha, Guangzhou and many more international destinations with these Boeing 737-800 aircraft. US-Bangla will be the first airline in Bangladesh to connect Paro (Bhutan) with Dhaka in the near future.
